主 题:The Strategic Benefits of Supply Chain Partial Decentralization
摘 要:
In operations and supply chain management research, a fundamental question is whether to centralize or decentralize a supply chain. However, most research assumes complete centralization or complete decentralization but omits the commonly adopted supply chain structure of partial centralization. With partial centralization, a firm owns a portion but not all, of its partner. In this seminar, I will talk about our research on the strategic benefits of supply chain partial decentralization. In particular, I will talk about the two scenarios of competing supply chains and supply chains for durable goods.
